With juice:
1 cup fruit juice
2 cups sugar
With fruit:
1 cup of fruit
1 cup of water
2 cups of sugar
Combine juice and sugar in medium sauce pan.
Bring to a boil.
Let boil until sugar is completely dissolved, then turn down to a simmer. Simmer to desired consistency.
For drink syrup, it can be left thin. For syrup you intend to drizzle onto something, like cheesecake, it needs to coat a spoon and not immediately run back into the pan.
Let cool before putting in a bottle.
